mostly in the 40s. a couple 30s out there in novato. 32 to start the day in livermore. 43 in san jose. a live picture of how clear it is over san francisco right now. what i can tell you is we do have some patchy fog out there. this is a live look from high atop our san bruno cam. you can see the bay bridge off there in the distance. there's patchy fog at the 500-foot level this morning and so if you are traveling through the east bay hills, higher elevations, just travel cautiously and watch out for that. 48 degrees in san jose. let's take you through our warm day. by noon 71 degrees at lunchtime in san jose. 68 degrees as you break for lunch in santa rosa. and you will be at 69 degrees in fairfield. already blowing past our seasonal averages by 10:00 a.m. today. and then when our highs come in at 3:30, we're talking about a return of the 80s. gilroy today, 80 degrees. 75 in livermore. 70 degrees in san francisco. widespread 70s on the way. this is the peak of our warming trend. we'll stay just about as nice over the course of the weekend. stick around. those numbers coming up. 4:38.

:05. this is san jose. we got a little bit of low cloud cover right at the surface. that will impact your drive in san jose for the time being. right above the surface it's starting to clear. high pressure moves in and whatever moisture is available just gets forced right to the roadway. this morning it's kind of interesting. whatever fog is out there is going to clear quickly between 9:30 and 10:00. this is your current reading in livermore, 43 degrees. a mild start. coupled with high pressure gaining some strength today. that means temperatures are going to be in the upper 60s and low 70s at lunchtime and then we'll round out the day in the upper 70s even some low 80s on the map. warmest day of the year so far. 80 for gilroy. 72 in beautiful santa cruz and in riverside county where that fire is burning, the winds will pick up later today. it's also going to be dry here. you want to be on the best of fire safety even though it's wintertime. unusual to have highs this warm this time of year. just keep that in mind. always a good idea to be on the best of fire safety. 6:06. let's check that driv
